About Out The Box Global Importers, distributors
and developers.

Out The Box Global has spent its working life between the factory and the shelf. Here is how that actually works.

Company film and our story

How we take a product from an idea to the shelf, in six steps.

Our story

Out The Box Global was built by people who had already spent most of their careers in food, and who kept running into the same gap.

Retailers wanted ranges that nobody was bringing them. Manufacturers had capacity and certifications but no route to the buyers. Brand owners had names worth a fortune in categories they had never sold into. Everyone was one introduction away from a deal that would not happen on its own.

So the company was set up to be that introduction, and then to do the unglamorous work that follows it. Finding the factory. Getting the spec right. Handling the certification. Holding the stock. Repacking it when the account changes its mind about the format. Getting it on the shelf and keeping it there.

Seventy years of combined experience sits behind that, across three UK sites and manufacturing partners on four continents. The tagline is we make brands happen, and it is meant literally.

What makes us different

Five things we do
that most importers do not.

  1. We licence names people already trust

Household brands, taken into categories they have never sold into. Food and non-food.

  2. We build products that do not exist yet

Bespoke development with our manufacturing partners, from first brief to shelf ready case.

  3. We know the buyers personally

Long standing relationships across UK, EU and overseas retail, built over decades rather than quarters.

  4. We take the briefs other people turn down

Niche volumes, awkward formats, tight calendars. These are usually the interesting ones.

  5. We source world food, Kosher and Halal

With the technical knowledge held in house rather than bought in when somebody asks.

From brief to shelf

How a project runs.

  1. The brief

A buyer needs a range nobody supplies, or a brand owner wants their name somewhere new.

  2. The match

We find the manufacturer who can actually make it, at the spec and the price the account needs.

  3. The build

Product, packaging, certification and artwork, developed until the sample survives a buyer meeting.

  4. The supply

Container, pallet or single case, out of Manchester, Warrington or Essex, repacked if that is what it takes.

Where we are

Three sites,
one operation.

  1. Manchester

    Head office and warehousing

Commercial team, technical team and the warehouse that handles most of the inbound container volume.

  2. Warrington

    Warehousing

Additional storage and handling capacity, including repacking and relabelling work.

  3. Essex

    Warehousing

Southern distribution point, keeping lead times down for accounts based in and around London.

Bring us something difficult.

The awkward briefs are the ones we are best at. Tell us what you are trying to get on shelf.
